Builder Rewards Program: Earn 5% Builder Credit

Spend $100,000 on materials through Buildtana and earn $5,000 in Builder Credit toward your next order. Fixed 5% rate, no tiers, and approved credit never expires.

The short answer

Buildtana Builder Wallet gives builder accounts Builder Credit equal to a fixed 5% of the material cost actually paid on a qualifying order. Spend $100,000 on materials and earn $5,000 toward your next Buildtana order. Credit is confirmed after Buildtana verifies the paid material amount, and it is applied as payment against cash due — it never changes the quoted price.

How Builder Wallet works

One fixed 5% rate

Builder Credit is always 5% of the verified material cost actually paid. The rate is the same for every account — it is not tiered, not negotiated, and not a 5–10% range.

Materials only

Freight, duties, tax, installation, services, financing charges and refunded amounts are removed before the 5% is calculated. Material is typically 55–65% of a landed order, so 5% of material is roughly 3% of the order total.

Confirmed before it is spendable

Buildtana checks the material figure against the settled payment before credit becomes spendable. A payment webhook never grants credit on its own, and credit that is not yet confirmed cannot reduce cash due on an offer.

Applied as payment, not as a discount

Credit reduces the cash due on a future order. It never rewrites a line item, freight, duties, tax, or the Buildtana fee. The payment request shows gross total, credit applied, and cash due as three separate lines.

What counts toward Builder Credit

Eligible material cost

Qualifying material products purchased through Buildtana may count after payment is verified.

  • Windows and exterior door products
  • Kitchen and bathroom material packages
  • Stone, cabinetry, fixtures, and other qualifying materials
  • Only the final eligible material amount actually paid

Important: Eligibility is determined from the linked order and verified payment record.

Amounts excluded from the 5% calculation

Non-material and reversed amounts do not earn Builder Credit.

  • Shipping, freight, and final-mile delivery
  • Duties, tariffs, sales tax, and use tax
  • Installation, design, and service fees
  • Financing charges and payment-processing costs
  • Refunded, cancelled, disputed, or charged-back amounts

Important: These amounts may appear on an order but are excluded from eligible paid material cost.

Referral awards

Qualifying referral awards use the same pending and approval trail but not the 5% purchase formula.

  • The referral is linked to the referring business
  • Buildtana verifies the stated qualification
  • An admin approves or rejects the pending award
  • Only approved credit becomes spendable

Important: Referral award amounts and qualifications are separately stated by Buildtana.

How credit is verified

Frequently asked questions

What is the Buildtana Builder Wallet?

Builder Wallet is Buildtana's rewards program for builder and contractor accounts. Qualifying material purchases earn Builder Credit, which goes toward a future Buildtana material order. It is promotional credit — not cash, not a bank account, and not transferable.

How much Builder Credit do I earn?

Qualifying purchases earn Builder Credit equal to 5% of the eligible material cost actually paid. The rate is fixed at 5% for every account. Spend $100,000 on materials and you earn $5,000.

What counts as eligible material cost?

The verified amount you actually paid for qualifying building materials bought through Buildtana. Shipping, ocean and domestic freight, duties, tariffs, sales and use tax, installation, design and service fees, financing charges, and any refunded or cancelled amounts are excluded before the 5% is calculated.

When can I spend Builder Credit?

Once your payment settles, the 5% is recorded while Buildtana confirms the paid material amount against the order. Only confirmed credit is spendable. Pending or rejected requests have no wallet value.

Does approved credit expire?

No. There is no expiry on approved Builder Credit while the account is active. If Buildtana ever introduces expiry it will publish updated terms and give notice beforehand, and will not retroactively remove a balance already earned.

Does Builder Credit change my quote?

No. Builder Credit is applied as payment against cash due. It never rewrites a line item, freight, duties, tax, or the Buildtana fee. It reduces the cash you owe, not the price. Credit also cannot cover an entire order — there is always a cash portion.

Can Builder Credit be withdrawn or transferred?

No. Builder Credit cannot be withdrawn for cash, transferred, sold, or used outside qualifying Buildtana orders. It belongs to the business account, not to an individual email address.

What happens if an order is refunded or corrected?

Credit is based on the amount ultimately kept after refunds, cancellations, chargebacks, and corrections. If granted credit is no longer supported, Buildtana posts a matching balancing adjustment and keeps the original entry so the history stays intact.
